GENERAL...
What area do you cover? I'm based in the South West, but will buy nationally for the right items.
Do you collect? Yes, I prefer to collect as this limits the potential for damage.
Do you have a shop? No, this is primarily an online business. I have a storage unit where items are kept, prepped and checked and dispatched.
Are you on social media? Yes I have instagram and Youtube channels.
Can you demo an item before I buy it? While I don't have a shop, I do have the facility to demonstrate items if you want to arrange to visit.
Do you offer part exchange against items I may want to sell? Yes

BUY MY OLD HIFI...
Do you buy old hifi? Yes!
What sort of hifi do you buy? I'll by almost any type of hifi, old or new, affordable or expensive.
Is condition important? Condition is important. Scratches and other damage will significantly effect what I can sell an item for, and therefore what I can offer you. Dust is not a problem and I would rather that you did NOT clean it yourself. Please leave it so that I can clean it.
Will you buy items that are faulty? That will depend on the item. Please phone/email me to outline what the product is and the fault.
Do you want vintage hifi? I do not deal in old large radiograms, however, I'm always interested in vintage hifi, especially valve amplifiers and certain turntables/record players.
I'm not sure what I have?! If there are items you have from a deceased relative or partner and you are not sure what you have, please give me a call to see how I can help you. It's not unusual for me to be digging around in attics/loft spaces getting covered in dust. Please don't try and move anything yourself... I am more than happy to do that for you.
Is there anything you won't buy? I would much rather you phoned to discuss what you have than suggest I won't buy something here. Where there is no margin because an item is worth so little, then obviously it's not something I can take on.

HIFI FOR SALE...
I've seen something I like, how do I pay? Simply click on the item and it will take you to my eBay page where you can complete you purchase.
What payment methods can I use? Via the eBay shop you can pay with almost anything. If buying directly from me, then you are welcome to pay via bank transfer or I can take credit/debit card payments too.
Can I save money buying direct rather than through eBay? No, my business is structured through eBay.
Do you offer a warranty with your items? Everything I sell is second-hand. All items sold through eBay have the option to be returned for a full refund (less the cost of the return postage) within 30 days of postage. Where items are sold as 'spares or repair' then obviously there is no warranty!
What pre-sale checks are done before items are listed? Every item I sell has been plugged in and tested within a system to ensure that it is working correctly. Unless specifically stated, I do not service items.
I've bought something and it doesn't work? These are second-hand items, so while everything I sell has been plugged in and tested here, sometimes items may develop a fault while in transit. Please first make contact with me to outline the problem. If there is no obvious solution, then I will arrange for the item to be returned and, once back here, I can issue you with a full refund or update you with any options regarding repair.
I can't find what I'm looking for on your website? There is a search facility on the home page, simply list what you would like to see if I have it.
I can't find what I'm looking for on your website - 2? If I don't have an item listed for sale that you are interested in, please contact me as I always have a lot of stock waiting to be listed, or can add you to my database of people looking for a specific item... if I find it at a later date I'll let you know.

POST AND PACKAGING...
Can I collect? Yes, by all means. Just contact me to make sure I'll be in when you plan to come.
I'm not in the UK, can you ship abroad? Following Brexit, sadly I can no longer dispatch to Europe on a regular basis. For smaller items such as cables, I can update eBay listings to use eBay's Global Shipping Program, but this is only option I can offer.
What external packaging do you use? Unless using a products original packaging, I use brand new double wall cardboard boxes bought specifically for this purpose.
What internal packaging do you use? Unless appropriate, I do NOT use bubble wrap. Instead I use Ethafoam which is a structurally robust foam used by many mainstream hifi manufacturers. This is cut to shape to fit the box, and hot glued in place. It holds items extremely securely.
Should I keep the box and packaging? Please hang onto it, as it will have been fitted exactly for your item. If you ever need to move house, it will be perfect for protecting the item, or if you need to return an item to me, the original box is the perfect option. Please at least hang onto it for the first few weeks.
What postage method do you use? For any larger item I have an account directly with DPD. I do NOT use Hermes, parcel2Go, parcelmonkey or any other intermediary company. For smaller items (under 2kg) I tend to use Royal Mail.
Are items tracked? Yes, every item I send will be tracked and require a signature on delivery.
Are items insured? Yes, every item I send is insured at full value against loss or damage in transit.
